Welcome to the Sweetwater County Recreation Board's website. The Sweetwater County Recreation Board is a Seven member citizen's Governing Board. Sweetwater County Recreation Board members are appointed by the Sweetwater County Commissioners.

The Recreation Board manages 13 recreational facilities located throughout Sweetwater County. All parks are open year round, from daylight to dusk. Parks can also be reserved Memorial Day through Labor Day for special events, but overnight camping is not permitted.


To provide recreation facilities and general amenities to the public and to strive that Sweetwater County is a good place to work and play, today and tomorrow, and to provide outstanding cost-effective regional service.


Sweetwater County Recreation Board Trap Club Recieves Grant

The Sweetwater County Recreation Board was awarded a grant from the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation for the sum of $2,500.00. The money was used offset the cost of purchasing equipment necessary for Trap Club to host the National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) trap shooting event, which took place in July of 2012.

Inmate Work Crew to Set up Handgun Targets Every Saturday at County Firearms Range

The Sheriff’s Office Inmate Community Service Program work crew has begun setting up the county’s reactive steel targets and target systems at the County Shooting Sports Complex Range every Saturday.
