Sweetwater County

Welcome to the Sweetwater County Recreation Board's website. The Sweetwater County Recreation Board is a seven member citizen's Governing Board. Sweetwater County Recreation Board members are appointed by the Sweetwater County Commissioners.

The Recreation Board manages 13 recreational facilities located throughout Sweetwater County. Parks are open year round, from dawn to dusk, Memorial Day through Labor Day. No overnight camping is allowed. County parks that can be reserved are: Pioneer Trails Picnic Grounds, Sweetwater County Picnic Grounds, Big Sandy Park, Reliance Park and Crossroads West Park.

To provide recreation facilities and general amenities to the public and to strive that Sweetwater County is a good place to work and play, today and tomorrow, and to provide outstanding cost-effective regional service.
